Our Activities

Family-Football
What could be better than getting to know football through games?
We introduce football to families via the Family-football program. Family-football is intended for children aged 2-4 with their guardians. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, and other close adults are welcome to with their little ones!
The trained coaches of the Finnish Football Association, Janne & Ville, produce enjoyable moments and a versatile game that the children like, with and without the ball.
The family soccer session starts with chatting and asking how each other are, then we warm up with games. We practice moving with and without the ball. The obstacle course, devised by coaching assistant Eetu, is also a part of every session, as well as the "Mr. Hakkarainen island" game among the children's favourites. Finally, we bounce balls in a large sheet, and to end we calm down by getting into a circle.
Note! Family-football starts in the autumn and spring as a 10-session course.

Ball-School
Are you already familiar with football at Family-Football or do you have a more independent child who is interested in trying football? It sounds like it would be time for Ball-School!
Continuing through play techniques, we will bring more football into activities. The ball-school is intended for children aged 4-6. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, etc. are welcome along!
Our club's popular Ball-School has been running for a long time. In sessions we play games and play with the ball.
-
At first, we warm up through play for 5-10 min. Play different themed games. Get familiar with the ball. For example, tag, and colour-play.
-
In the Middle stage 2-4 we have games. Passing, transporting the ball, working in a group, listening to instructions, moving the ball together.
-
At the end of the session we have a final game for 10-15 min (depending on the children's endurance). We get used to the Junior-league game format, which is organized at Vaasa's Lemonsoft Stadium every year (3v3 / 4v4 final game with two goals without a goalkeeper).
-
We get into a circle and end with FC KoMu's chant.
Note! Ball school starts in the spring as a 10-session course.

When the younger children begin to desire more football, such as training, matches, etc. and/or they will become a pre-schooler, it would be time join a team. Our young players are placed in teams according to their age. They can also participate in additional training, such as goalkeeper training.

GK-Training
Your enthusiasm for football is growing - a great thing!
Our club organises goalkeeper training for all our junior players, with this you can try to see if you like being in goal and learn even more skills like agility, speed and reflexes. Goalies need to be able to read the game effectively, make split-second decisions and control the flow of the game when given the opportunity – grab the chance.
